House State Affairs met in a formal meeting on May 17th and voted out SB 2627 (Schwertner), relating to funding mechanisms to support the construction, maintenance, and modernization of dispatchable electric generating facilities, and SJR 93 (Schwertner), proposing a constitutional amendment providing for the creation of the Texas energy fund and the authorization of other funding mechanisms to support the construction, maintenance, and modernization of electric generating facilities.

House State Affairs is scheduled to meet also on adjournment of today’s House floor session and will be considering additional energy-related legislation.
