On April 15, 2025, TEA officially launched the Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTA) Module in Sentinel for all Texas public school districts and open-enrollment charter schools. This system supports compliance with Texas Education Code, §37.115, and 19 Texas Administrative Code, §103.1213 by providing a standardized process for documenting, managing and reporting behavioral threat assessments across the state.
Beginning August 1, 2025, all school systems will be required to conduct and report all threat assessments in Sentinel. For more details click here.
