Governor Greg Abbott announced the designation of Ryan Sitton to serve as a designee to the Interstate Mining Compact Commission (IMCC) for a term to expire at the pleasure of the Governor. The IMCC is a multi-state governmental organization representing natural resource and environmental protection interests with the purpose of advancing protection and restoration of land, water and other resources affected by the mining industry.
 
Ryan Sitton is the 49th Commissioner of the Railroad Commission of Texas. A native Texan, Sitton is a graduate of Texas A&M University where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering before entering the energy industry as an engineer.
 
In 2006, Sitton and his wife Jennifer founded PinnacleAIS, an engineering and technology company focused on reliability and integrity programs for the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. In 2012 and 2013, Inc. Magazine recognized PinnacleAIS as one of the top 1,500 fastest growing, privately held companies in the world. For four consecutive years, PinnacleAIS has also been honored as an Aggie 100 recipient, an award celebrating and recognizing the fastest growing Aggie-owned businesses in the world.
 
Sitton is an active member of several industry groups including The Texas Alliance of Energy Producers (TAEP), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the American Petroleum Institute (API) and remains active in higher education issues as a member of Texas A&M’s Mechanical Engineering Advisory Council.
