The 85th Regular Session had a record-breaking number of bills filed (6,631 HBs &SBs) and one of the lowest total number of bills passed since 74th. Although it is not unusual for far fewer bills to pass still a greater percentage of bills in the 85th did not make it to the finish line:

Passed: 1211 (June 18th veto deadline)
 
84th Regular Session+
Filed: 6276 total HBs &SBs
Passed: 1323 (41 of those were vetoed)

32 HBs & SBs bills have been filed without the Governor’s signature & 405 HBs &SBs have been signed by the Governor to date.
 
The Governor’s office has office confirmed he won't have any announcement about a special session today or over the weekend.
 
Comptroller Glenn Hegar did certify Senate Bill 1, the budget bill for the upcoming biennium. The bill will now head to Gov. Greg Abbott’s desk. The press release from the Comptroller can be found below.
