The US 5th Circuit Court of Appeals has affirmed previous court rulings that Texas’ voter identification law, passed in 2011, does not comply with the federal Voting Rights Act. The law stipulates the forms of identification that can and cannot be accepted in order for a person’s vote to be counted.
