The Department of State Health Services (DSHS) will hold a public hearing in response to stakeholder requests, to accept public comments on the proposed rules to amend 25 Texas Administrative Code Chapter 1, §§1.132 – 1.137, concerning the definition, treatment, and disposition of special waste from healthcare related facilities.
The public hearing will be conducted from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on August 4, 2016 at 1100 West 49th Street, Austin, Texas.
DSHS is not extending the public comment period for these proposed rules, which were published in the July 1, 2016 issue of the Texas Register, (41 TexReg 4772-4778), however, DSHS will regard the comments received at the public hearing as part of the formal public comments received for the proposed rules.
