Early voting for the March 4 Primaries is underway and will continue until Friday, February 28. The Secretary of State continues to report increases in early voting for both Republican and Democrat voters. The Texas Election Source has pointed out, for the GOP, “more than 183,000 have voted early (in person and by mail) in the state’s 15 most populous counties.” In total the GOP and Democratic turnout are up around 25% above 2010 through seven days of early voting with Hidalgo County casting the most Democratic votes and Harris County casting the most Republican votes.
