On February 12, 2014 the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Commissioners adopted revisions to the Texas Water Quality Standards. The revisions to the TSWQS will incorporate new federal regulations and EPA guidance recommendations for water quality criteria, new information and studies on the appropriate uses and criteria of individual water bodies, incorporate new scientific data on the effects of specific chemicals and pollutants, and address new provisions in the Texas Water Code.
