Today the Joint Select Committee to Study the Balance of the Economic Stabilization Fund (ESF) met and with 8 ayes and 1 nay, adopted a motion that the ESF sufficient balance for 2018-2019 will be $7.5 billion.

Rep. Sarah Davis noted that setting the balance does not prohibit the legislature from accessing the fund if there were sufficient votes for that action. Last session the committee set the ESF sufficient balance at $7 billion.
