Governor Greg Abbott set an emergency special election for Tuesday, March 31, 2015, to fill the House District 124 seat recently vacated by Senator José Menéndez.
The early voting period for the special election will be held from March 23, 2015 to March 27, 2015. The individual elected will serve the remainder of the current term.
