The Health and Human Services Commission has posted the transition plan for the Health and Human Services system transformation. The plan is a requirement of SB 200 (84R).  The plan has been submitted to the Health and Human Services Transition Legislative Oversight Committee and a public hearing has been scheduled for March 31.

As drafted, the new HHS system would functionally organize client services in three new divisions at the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) beginning in September 2016. The plan also details new regulatory services and state facility operations divisions within HHSC, beginning in September of 2017. Beyond programmatic realignment, the Plan describes how to best support program operations throughout the HHS System by administrative support service realignment and consolidation.
