TFC Commissioners named Harvey Hilderbran as Executive Director of the agency in a meeting held Wednesday, January 21.
Hilderbran is a businessman and former lawmaker who served in the Texas House of Representatives for District 53 (Kerrville) from 1988 to January 2015. During his thirteen terms in office, he served as Chairman of the House Committee on Ways and Means; the House Committee on Culture, Recreation, and Tourism; and the House Committee on Human Services. Born in Uvalde in 1960, Hilderbran is a 1983 graduate of Texas Tech University. He replaces former TFC Executive Director Terry Keel who was recently appointed to a position with the Texas Department of Agriculture.
