Speaker Joe Straus on Thursday announced Texas House committee assignments for the 85th Legislature. According to the Speaker’s press release, “There are 38 standing committees in the House. In addition, Speaker Straus established two select committees: The Select Committee on State and Federal Power and Responsibility, and the Select Committee on Texas Ports, Innovation & Infrastructure.” See attachements for more details.
