Early this morning the House Committee Substitute for SB 1, the budget bill for the 2018-19 biennium, was passed out of the House with 131 ayes and 16 nays. During the 15 hour debate almost 200 amendments were proposed.
 
A total of 64 floor amendments were adopted during the marathon debate.
 
The House and Senate versions of the budget will now end up in conference where they will work on the differences.
 
The House also passed the Supplemental Appropriations bill as substituted, HB 2, with one floor amendment (141-6). It will now also move to the Senate for further consideration.
