Texas Speaker of the House Joe Straus has appointed Jeanie Wyatt to serve on the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) Board of Trustees. She will fill the remainder of the term of Frederick “Shad” Rowe, who announced his resignation earlier this year. Her appointment is effective August 2, 2016 and expires August 31, 2020.
 
Craig Hester was reappointed to the ERS Board of Trustees by Chief Justice of the Texas Supreme Court Nathan Hecht. He has served on the Board since 2005. His new term expires August 31, 2022.
 
Ms. Wyatt is the CEO, Chief Investment Officer and Founder of San Antonio-based South Texas Money Management (STMM), which has offices in Austin, Corpus Christi, Houston and Dallas. Before founding STMM in 2000, she served as Executive Vice President and head of Frost Investment Services (Cullen/Frost Bankers, Inc.). She was responsible for the investment areas of nine trust departments around the state with approximately $13 billion in assets.
 
Shad Rowe served diligently on the ERS Board for more than four years. Prior to that, he led the Texas Pension Review Board.
