The Legislative Budget Board (LBB) has produced interactive graphics regarding public education to facilitate data discovery and assist in investigating trends. The graphics are designed to allow the user to select a category (e.g. age, year, or county) and have it simultaneously update all charts and/or maps on the interactive graphic. In some cases, the data underlying the graphics can be exported to other tools such as Excel or Access for further analysis. The graphics include:
Early College High Schools – the Texas Education Agency defines Early College High Schools (ECHS) as schools that provide the students who are least likely to attend college the learning and support programs that enable them to simultaneously enroll in both high school and college.
Foundation School Program Funding by Method of Finance (Fiscal Years 2004 to 2017) – the graphic shows Foundation School Program state funding in nominal or 2004 constant dollars, calculated with compounded state population and inflation growth, by method of finance and by fund name for fiscal years 2004 to 2017.
State and Local Share of Foundation School Program Entitlement (Fiscal Years 2004 to 2017) – the graphic shows the state and local funding amounts for the Foundation School Program (FSP) for fiscal years 2004 to 2017 in nominal or 2004 constant dollars, calculated with compounded state population and inflation growth.
