On Dec. 7 the Senate Select Committee on Property Tax Reform and Relief held an organizational hearing as well as hear invited testimony from the Texas Comptroller’s Office Property Tax Division. The next meeting of the select committee will be Jan. 28 in San Antonio. They are currently scheduled to continue meeting in locations throughout Texas until May. Chairman Paul Bettencourt stated the committee is designed to conduct a robust hearing process.
