Today the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) adopted a set of rules needed for fully implementing the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas (SWIFT). Now that the rules are official, public water providers are encouraged to submit an abridged application as the first step to receive funding. The SWIFT abridged application collects the information necessary for TWDB staff to review and rank projects. Entities that rank within funding availability will then be invited to submit full applications for financial assistance. The TWDB has targeted Spring 2015 to consider prioritization of the abridged applications, identify the amount of funds available by category, and extend invitations to submit full financial applications, according to the SWIFT timeline.

Two double-sided copies of the abridged application and all required attachments plus one digital copy (via CD or email) must be received by the Texas Water Development Board by 12:00pm on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015.
