The Texas Department of Insurance has announced a meeting of the Advisory Committee for the Standard Request Form for Prior Authorization of Medical Care or Health Care Services.
The meeting will be held at 1 p.m. on June 10 in Room 102 of the William P. Hobby, Jr. State Office Building located at 333 Guadalupe, Austin, Texas.
Senate Bill 1216, 83rd Legislature, Regular Session, 2013, provides that the committee will advise the commissioner on the technical, operational, and practical aspects of developing a standard form for requesting prior authorization of medical or health care services including requirements for the use, acceptance, and timely acknowledgment of the form.
