Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton joined a coalition of 14 states in a letter to the incoming Trump administration urging it to repeal two new rules that alter the definition of critical habitat for endangered species promulgated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the National Marine Fisheries Service. Last November, Texas and 17 other states sued the National Marine Fisheries Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the current Secretaries of the Interior and Commerce to challenge the rules.
