Many Texas businesses, associations, and legislators joined Texas General Land Office Commissioner George P. Bush in a letter urging President trump to include $15 billion in his national infrastructure plan for a Houston/Galveston bay area coastal barrier system. The planned system would stretch from Orange County to Brazoria County and work “to protect this vital area,” the letter says.
