The US Department of Treasury has accepted Texas’ Multi-Year Implementation Plan for funding distribution to the state under the federal RESTORE Act, the law created to respond to the 2010 Deepwater Horizon blowout and oil spill. Twenty-six projects are included in the Plan with an estimated total cost of $114.2 million and approximately $85.6 million available to Texas at this time. Planned projects include 3 three conducting coast-wide activities and many more directly affecting Aransas, Brazoria, Calhoun, Cameron, Chambers, Galveston, Harris, Jackson, Jefferson, Matagorda, Nueces, and Willacy counties.
