The US District Court for the Western District of Texas has issued a scheduling order setting a trial date for a three judge panel to consider the constitutionality of Texas’ 2013 State House and US Congressional District plans. This follows a decision in from March 10 that Texas’ 2011 US Congressional District plan was unconstitutional. The Trial is set for July 10 through July 15 with challenges to the Texas House plan to proceed first.
