The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) reports that drought conditions are about the same as last week (benefits from the recent rains won’t appear until next week’s report). Statewide reservoir storage as of November 6th squeaked up 37,000 acre-feet over the past two days from the rain but is lower than it was a week ago. 48% of the state is currently in moderate to exceptional drought. According to the latest report from the Climate Prediction Center, Texas will continue to be under an El Nino watch with a 58 percent chance of El Nino conditions developing this winter.
