The HillCo Client Advisory reported that on July 1st, the U.S. House passed its version of the FY 2010 Defense Supplemental bill, HR 4899 which included a Texas provision drafted by U.S. Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-Austin) that would have restricted how the Texas Legislature can spend future federal education dollars.  That provision has been struck from the bill as it continues to move forward heading to the President’s desk.
