Media sources report that last night Representative Mike “Tuffy” Hamilton (R-Mauriceville) checked himself into a Beaumont hospital following a heart attack. He was originally scheduled for a quadruple bypass this morning, but after physician evaluation underwent triple bypass surgery late last night. Following surgery Hamilton’s prognosis was good. He continues to improve and physicians removed his ventilators this morning.
