The Texas Health and Human Services Commission received notice that the state’s health information exchange (HIE) strategic and operational plans have been approved. This will release the remainder of the state’s allotment of funds under the state HIE program ($27.8 million) to fund the implementation of the strategic and operational plans over the next 3 years. Within the next few weeks, the approved plans will be posted to the THSA website.
