The Integration of Health and Behavioral Health Workgroup Service Delivery Subcommittee met on February 18, 2010, at the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health Center to discuss barriers and possible solutions to key issues for furthering the integration of health and behavioral health services in Texas. The meeting continued to focused on the following issues set forth at initial meetings: increased cooperation and collaboration among varying professions and systems of care; efficient, private exchange of client information among healthcare providers; and improvements to the Texas referral system. Workforce members vetted advantages and disadvantages of potential solutions to these key issues.

 

Subcommittees will continue to meet this month while the larger workgroup comprised of all the subcommittees are scheduled to meet in the middle of March.
