The Senate Committee on Transportation and Homeland Security will convene in a joint hearing with the House Transportation Committee at 8:00 a.m. on February 1, 2010 in the Capitol Extension Auditorium. The purpose of the hearing is to receive quarterly updates and to open a dialogue on the status of transportation infrastructure, the sufficiency of current funding, and the merits of alternative approaches to funding.

 

The tentative agenda includes a quarterly update and discussion on vehicle registration fees and infrastructure funding. There will also be panels on transportation impacts, transportation needs and outlook, and debt financing.
