Sen. Patrick Discusses Chair of Senate Education

Sen. Dan Patrick, R- Houston, acknowledged he might want to be chair of Senate Education, noting Sen. Florence Shapiro (who has announced she is not running for re-election) has done an outstanding job as Chair and he has “learned a lot sitting at her elbow.” He argues a college degree shouldn’t necessarily be the primary goal for all students.
