The Senate Finance Committee met on March 10, 2010 and heard invited and public testimony regarding the Committee’s interim charge to review and make recommendations regarding existing and future public debt at all levels of government in Texas, including independent school districts, cities, other local governments and the Texas Guaranteed Tuition Plan. 

The Committee heard several agencies including those from the Bond Review Board, the Legislative Budget Board (LBB) and the Office of the Attorney General who testified on outstanding and authorized but unissued public debt and debt-like requirements.
