On December 15th, Gov. Rick Perry named Tamela ‘Tammy’ Gough of McKinney chair of the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners for a term to expire at the pleasure of the governor. The board oversees licensing and regulation of dental care providers in Texas and enforces Texas laws regulating the practice of dentistry.

On December 9th, Gov. Rick Perry named Edward Vaughan of Bulverde chair of the Texas Water Development Board effective December 17, 2010, for a term to expire at the pleasure of the governor. The board oversees statewide water planning and the administration of financial programs for water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control and conservation projects.

On December 9th, Gov. Rick Perry appointed Randy Watson of Burleson to the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education for a term to expire Aug. 30, 2015. The board ensures Texans are served by highly trained and ethical law enforcement and corrections personnel through screening, and developing and monitoring resources and standards.

On December 9th, Gov. Rick Perry appointed Mario ‘Omar’ Garcia of La Vernia to the Texas Economic Development Corporation for a term to expire at the pleasure of the governor. The corporation supports programs and activities of the Governor’s Division of Economic Development and Tourism, including TexasOne, which markets Texas competitively and dynamically to businesses outside the state’s borders.

On December 9th, Gov. Rick Perry appointed Joe Grubbs of Waxahachie as judge of the 378th District Court in Ellis County for a term effective Jan. 1, 2011, and to expire at the next general election.

On December 1st, Gov. Rick Perry has named David Cabrales of Dallas chair and appointed Marc Farmer of Lubbock to the Texas Economic Development Corporation for terms to expire at the pleasure of the governor. The corporation supports programs and activities of the Governor’s Division of Economic Development and Tourism, including TexasOne, which markets Texas competitively and dynamically to businesses outside the state’s borders.
