Polls opened at 7 a.m. this morning and will be closing tonight at 7 p.m. (anyone in line at 7 p.m. can still cast their vote) for the November 8th Midterm Election. To find a polling place near you, please visit the Secretary of State’s “My Voter Portal.” Two counties have been added to the list that are approved for countywide polling; the complete list can be found here.

It may take longer for some local races have details to report. HillCo Partners will continue to monitor and provide you with the latest details as we continue our election coverage.

Texas Legislature

The 88th Legislature, comprised of both the House and Senate, will have some new faces. As districts were redrawn last session, this year’s ballot includes 31 Texas Senate Seats, 150 Texas House Seats, 38 U.S. House Seats, and 15 State Board of Education seats. In the Texas Legislature, there will be at least 25 new House Representatives and 6 new Senators due to open seat races, with more possible based on election results.
