On June 19, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton joined a 20-state coalition in a letter requesting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) preserve the role of the states while reviewing its Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule. The letter contains suggestions on potential regulatory overreach and suggests that the EPA and Army Corps of Engineers should consider the roles played by states in safeguarding waterways.
