TCEQ has adopted an Air Target Risk Level Policy which sets a target cancer risk level of 1 in 100,000 (1 x 10-5). This risk level is used to develop screening levels that are used in TCEQ’s air permitting program and are compared to ambient air monitoring data.

Visit TCEQ’s Air Target Risk Level Policy webpage for more information and to view the Air Target Risk Level Policy, Public Comments, and Responses to Public Comments.
