- AP-IB Incentive Program, State Exam Fee Subsidy for the 2024-2025 School Year (October 24, 2024) – Eligible students enrolled in a Texas public school can receive a $27 Texas AP-IB exam fee subsidy, eligibility can be confirmed via the Fee Reduction Eligibility Criteria webpage.
- The University of Texas at Austin Automatic Admission Policy (October 24, 2024) – The University has determined that it will automatically admit all eligible summer/fall 2026 and spring 2027 freshman applicants who rank within the top 5% of their high school graduating classes.
- School Year 2024-2025 Income Eligibility Verification Forms Extension (October 17, 2024) – For the 2024-2025 school year, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) is allowing school systems to update their students’ Economically Disadvantaged indicator until the PEIMS Fall Resubmission closes on January 16, 2025. This means that school systems can continue to try to obtain income eligibility verification forms for students past the PEIMS Fall snapshot date; however, the student must be determined to be eligible on or before October 25, 2024.
