The Health and Human Services Commission is holding three hearings to obtain input from stakeholders and the public as part of a study required by Senate Bill 200, 84th Legislature, Regular Session, 2015. The input will be considered in the statutorily mandated study to determine the feasibility, costs, and benefits of transferring operations of the Austin State Hospital to a new location. Per legislative request, the Austin State Supported Living Center will also be included in the study.
Public hearings will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. on the following dates and locations:
- Wednesday, June 15, 2016 ̶ Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Brown-Heatly Building, 4900 N. Lamar Boulevard, Public Hearing Room 1410-1430, Austin (webcasting available)
- Monday, June 20, 2016 ̶ San Marcos Public Library, 625 E. Hopkins Street, San Marcos
- Wednesday, June 22, 2016 ̶ Bluebonnet Trails Community Services, 1009 North Georgetown Street, Round Rock
