Effective Sept. 1, 2015, the Texas Crude Oil Regulatory Tax is repealed. The legislation repealing the tax is Senate Bill 757, 84th Regular Session (2015).

For report periods September 2015 and later, taxable barrels are still subject to the Oil Field Clean-Up Fee at 5/8 of a cent ($0.00625) per barrel.  The Crude Oil Regulatory Tax is no longer due for these reporting periods.  Visit the Comptroller’s website for more information about crude oil taxation.
