The State Board of Education (SBOE) will meet September 9-11 for its quarterly meeting. The full agenda has been posted. The committee of the full board will meet at 9am on Sept. 9 to take up agenda items that will include, among other things: Commissioner of Education Michael William’s briefing on policies and agenda items; proposed new TEKS for Career and Technical Education; discussion of proposed revisions to 19 TAC Chapter 66, State Adoption and Distribution of Instructional Materials; a discussion on CCRS and TEKS alignment; an update on review of TEKS; and a discussion on TEKS for Personal Financial Literacy. The meetings will be broadcast live.
