Four legislative seats have been decided in special elections runoffs that took place today. HD 13 was vacated by Sen. Lois Kolkhorst when she decided to run for the Senate; HD 17 was vacated by Rep. Tim Kleinschmidt who took a job with the Texas Agriculture Commission; and two seats became open, SD 26 and HD 123,  with Sen. Leticia Van de Putte and Rep. Mike Villarreal running for Mayor of San Antonio.

HD 13*
With 57.14% of the votes – Leighton Schubert defeated Carolyn Cerny Bilski. 
 
HD 17*
John Cyrier received 52.06% of the votes over candidate Brent Golemon. 
 
HD 123*
Diego Bernal earning 63.66% of the votes defeated Nunzio Previtera.
 
SD 26* 
Rep. Jose Menendez with 59.04% of the votes defeated Rep. Trey Martinez Fischer.  Another special election will now be necessary to fill HD 124.
