The Select Committee to Study the Balance of the Economic Stabilization Fund will meet on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the Senate Finance Committee Hearing Room (E1.036) to hear invited testimony only. The Committee will determine and adopt a sufficient balance to maintain in the Economic Stabilization Fund. The Select Committee was created by legislation passed in 2013 and its existence was contingent upon voter passage of Proposition 1 last month.
Members of the committee:
- House – Rep. Myra Crownover of Denton will co-chair and will be joined by Reps.: Patricia Harless of Spring, Abel Herrero of Robstown, John Otto of Dayton and Sylvester Turner of Houston.
- Senate – Sen. Jane Nelson of Flower Mound will co-chair and will be joined by Sens.: Robert Nichols of Jacksonville, Brian Birdwell of Granbury, Kevin Eltife of Tyler, and John Whitmire of Houston.
