Speaker Joe Straus recently announced the appointment of new commission members to the Partnership Advisory Commission. The Partnership Advisory Commission is purposed to advise state agencies that develop or operate projects that combine public and private facilities and infrastructure.

Straus’ recent appointments include Rep. John Frullo of Lubbock, Rep. Donna Howard of Austin and Rep. Jim Murphy of Houston.

It is anticipated that new Senators will be appointed as three of the four Senators on the commission are no longer serving.  Senate members include Sen. Judith Zaffirini, former Sen. Mike Jackson, former Sen. Steve Ogden and former Sen. Tommy Williams.

Three public members also serve on the commission but new public members may be appointed as well.  Current public members include Margaret Martin, Thomas Orr and Betty Reinbeck.

The last meeting of the Commission was in June 2012.
