The Texas Windstorm Insurance Association held a meeting on February 4, 2010 of its Board of Directors to finalize the changes to the Plan of Operation for the 2010 year. The Plan of Operation laid out by-laws and operational rules for the Board, Agency, and the parties involved with the Board. Board members participated along with the executive manager, Texas Department of Insurance staff, the Counsel to the Board, and members of the general public. The major change to the Plan involved shortening the amount of allowed meeting absences for a Board member before the Commissioner has the option to eject said absent member from the Board. The Board also voted on Committee assignments for members (both Board and non-board) and voiced concern about the lack of consumer members for the Committees.
