The September 2019 State Board of Education (SBOE) met and took up a full agenda. Chairwoman Donna Bahorich was recognized for her service as chair of the SBOE who was appointed chair in June of 2015. Among other things the SBOE anticipates a preliminary vote on revised health and PE TEKS in June/July 2020, with final adoption in September 2020. Commissioner Morath also provided an update to the SBOE (see article below for a link to the report on his comments.)
The SBOE will next meet November 12-15.
