Governor Greg Abbott announced that he appointed 21 educators to the new Texas Classroom Commission. The Commission will build upon the work of prior workgroups such as the Teacher Vacancy Taskforce and the Texas Commission on Special Education funding to continue to shape public education and strengthen student achievement.
The Commission is chaired by Courtney Boswell MacDonald of Kerrville, a former classroom teacher and the current chair of the State Board for Educator Certification. The remaining Commission members are:
