The Texas Education Agency (TEA) announced the appointment of Levi Fuller as the Inspector General for Educator Misconduct. The new enforcement role will oversee educator misconduct policies and coordinate investigations and case decisions in coordination with TEA’s Educator Investigation division, including certification sanctions, fostering safe learning environments, and settlement decisions among other actions.
In this role, Fuller will provide policy and process guidance to the State Board of Educator Certification, the Commissioner of Education, the Office of the Governor, and members of the Legislature. Fuller most recently served as Chief of Staff for State Representative Andy Hopper. He previously worked as an Assistant Attorney General in the office of the Attorney General of Texas where he served as a special prosecutor for the Election Integrity Division and a litigator in the Special Litigation and Non-Profit Enforcement Team of the Consumer Protection Division.
