The Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) at the University of Texas at Austin has released a report on Texas AI in the Education Task Force. The report was created by the Texas AI in Education Task Force, which convened in Spring 2026 with the goal of identifying key factors to help Texas students achieve AI literacy and create recommendations to build a K-12 AI education pipeline.
The Task Force came back with the following recommendations to effectively harness AI technology:
- Establish State Leadership
- Issue Statewide Guidance
- Fund Professional Development
- Update Student Learning Standards
