Governor Greg Abbott joined the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Review Council meeting today to deliver recommendations of the Council. The Council was established in January of 2025, and Governor Abbott was sworn into the Council in May of 2025.
The Council identified 10 recommendations to improve FEMA. The recommendations seek to make FEMA more responsive during natural disasters.
