The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) is now accepting public comments on the Draft 2027 State Water Plan.
The initial draft document provides a streamlined set of core elements required by statute and administrative rule. A subsequent enhanced version of the 2027 State Water Plan, the first amendment to the plan, is anticipated for completion in the fall of 2026 and will provide more expansive and informative content. That amendment will also include its own formal public comment period.
Stakeholder comments may be submitted in the following ways:
- In writing through an online form
- In person at the TWBD hearing on May 27 at 1:00 pm
- Virtually at the TWBD hearing on May 27 at 1:00 pm
