According to media reports, both the House and Senate have set deadlines for the recommendation of interim charges. Interim charges are directives issued by the presiding officer of each respective body which instruct the committees on what issues to study and focus on in preparation for the next legislative session.
House Speaker Burrows has requested that committee chairs submit recommendations by the close of business on February 9th. Lt. Gov. Patrick wants recommendations by the close of business on February 20th.
